Functional Clay Class – June 11-14, 2024
Clay classes have been restructured for Summer 2024! Choose this class if you wish to create works that are usable (cups, bowls, vases, etc). If you want to make clay sculptures, check out our Sculptural Clay Class.
Where: Midtown Elementary School
When: 1:00-2:30pm Tuesday through Friday, June 11-14, 2024
Pickup of clay sculptures will be between June 25-28
Supplies: Included in class fee (clay, glazes, etc.)

This clay class meets from 1:00-2:30pm on June 11-14, 2024. All sculptures will be kiln-fired, and be available for pickup between June 25-28.
In this class, we will be making pinch pots, coil pots, slab cups with handles, bowls, flower vases, and piggy banks. All cups, bowls, and vases will be glazed with dinnerware safe glaze, and will be safe for drinking, holding fresh flowers, etc.
This clay class is recommended for ages 8+. Younger students are allowed, but may struggle with some of the hand building techniques used.
Supplies are included in the registration fee.
The class size is capped at 15 students. This is to ensure adequate time for one-on-one guidance and assistance with projects.
