Oodles of Doodles Learning Targets
The purpose of the Oodles of Doodles Class is to enjoy a low-stress pattern-making process. There’s no wrong way to make a doodle! These classes are OPEN TO ALL AGES. You’re never too young or old to start learning about art.
The $110 registration fee includes all supplies and all four days of class. June 15-18, 10am-12pm, at West Madison Elementary.
Tuesday, June 15th, 10am – Practicing Patterns and ZenDoodling
Learn how to create interesting patterns, and use doodling as a meditative activity.
Wednesday, June 16th, 10am – Symmetry and Mandalas
Learn how to build a doodle on symmetrical geometric foundations to create Mandalas and more!
Thursday, June 17th, 10am – Silhouettes
Doodle patterns within silhouettes of animals, people, and more!
Friday, June 18th, 10am – Free Doodles
There’s no limit to the doodles you can come up with!
Mister New will provide all of the necessary supplies, to include pencils, erasers, papers, Micron pens, colored pencils, Copic markers, etc. As references, students in the Oodles of Doodles courses will use the real world, photographs, and imagination!
A maximum of 20 students will be allowed. If that threshold is met, we will consider offering the same classes again later in the summer.

The Oodles of Doodles Class will be taught by local elementary school art teacher: Noel Newquist, known as Mr. New by students across Madison. As a National Board Certified art teacher for Madison City’s elementary schools, Mr. New has 13 years of experience working with every level of art student, from beginners to national award-winners.
