In this lesson, we use landscape paintings by Winslow Homer as references to discuss the use of organic shapes. Then, we closely study Homer’s Oranges on a Branch to learn about overlapping, cropping, etc.

Practicing Organic Shapes

In this lesson, we learn the difference between organic shapes and geometric shapes. We specifically focus on how to draw organic shapes. Organic shapes are those that we would use when drawing nature.

How to Turn In Art Assignments

In this lesson, we’re learning how to upload our artwork into Google Classroom. Don’t worry about making any art right now. Just take a picture of yourself holding something that has made you happy during the school closure, and upload it using the instructions in this video.
