Register for Art Camp Today!

Seating is limited, so you’ll want to register for our 2017 Summer Art Camp before it’s too late! This year, we will be offering six different week-long courses, with focuses on charcoal, graphite, pastels, and acrylic paints. There’s something for everyone, including children and adults. Each class is five days long (Monday through Friday), and runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm each day. That’s a total of 15 hours of instructional time per course!

We will begin the summer with the easiest level course, and work our way into the more advanced topics as the summer progresses. The class schedule is designed such that a determined beginner could easily progress from one course to the next and be an advanced artist by the end of the summer. Feel free to register for just one, or for as many as you like! The topics for this year’s summer art camps are:

This year, our summer camp courses will be offered at a new venue: Spirit Made Steel Martial Arts, on Slaughter Rd. in Madison. This new, larger room will give us the flexibility to spread out a bit more, which means larger-scale drawings and paintings for the more advanced courses. Exciting!

Maximum class size is 20 registrants per course. All courses are taught by Noel Newquist, known across Madison City Schools as Mr. New. Want more information? Keep reading below for a brief description of each course.

Do you have evening classes for people that work during the day?

As of today, I do not have any evening classes scheduled, but they are definitely on my radar. Most of my students are typically in the elementary/middle-school age level, but I am increasingly hearing from adults who want lessons as well. Once I figure out how I want to schedule these, I’ll send out an email blast. Use the link below to get email updates when new classes are scheduled, so you don’t miss them.
