Encouraging Patriotism
Students attending Heritage Elementary School now have a new landmark to spark their creativity – and their patriotism. This summer (2016), muralist Noel Newquist was tasked with creating an image that would express a love of country and appreciation for those who serve. Residing in the center stairway of the school, this 200+ sq. ft. painting displays the American flag in front of the schoolhouse, with a policeman, marine, and two children saluting and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
